Collection of information and its usage

Log files

The Site follows a standard procedure of using log files that contains visitors’ information. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses (if you do not use a proxy server nor a VPN connection), browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), device type, language settings, region, operating system, date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. Information written in the contact form and comment form

The Site collects visitor’s name, email address and comments that visitor writes in our Contact Form or comment form on each article on Site. If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Information handling and protection

Who handles information

Only the administrator of Site handles log files, comments and Personal Information Site actively collected under an environment protected by anti-virus software. Such information will not be sent to any other devices or third-parties for other purposes than written in the next provision.

Who we send your data to

We may send visitors’ personally unidentifiable information to Google for aforementioned purposes, i.e., for analytics and user advertisement optimization purposes etc.

Visitor comments may also be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Otherwise we do not knowingly send any information of visitors to any third-parties.

How long we retain your data

Personal information

Any Personal Information provided by visitors through our Contact Form is stored for a year, and will be deleted after that. Even during the storage period, if we find such information necessary, we will discard the information.

Comments

If you leave a comment on our articles, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Cookies

With browsers’ default settings, cookies will be stored for 26 months in the browser of visitors. As mentioned above, cookies are not linked to any personal identifiable information, and are used for the aforementioned purposes.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to request that we disclose, update, erase or suspend the usage of your Personal Information you have provided with Site and we have stored. However, we may not erase Personal Information necessary to investigate any abuse, fraudulent, prohibited or other illegal activities by visitors.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
